Customers want to know how to move messages. |
Answer |
Moving messages from one discussion to another is possible with version 3.1 and up.
As host or sysop click the little "move" button to the right of the message, then navigate to the destination and click "to here". If you do not see this make sure you have the latest webextn.tpl (pre-v5.0) and/or you do not use custom toolbars (if you do they will need to be updated). Also see related FAQ Missing 'To Here' or Source or Destination is Incorrect.
You cannot easily rearrange a message within an existing discussion, or insert it into a specific place within a threaded view. To do this requires you first move the message out of its parent to some other place to disassociate it from the original discussion. Then move the relocated message back into the original discussion at the location in the thread you want it to appear. |
