I am running Web Crossing as CGI under IIS. Should I use webx.dll or webx.exe? |
Answer |
The Web Crossing installation program will preferentially select the DLL as the CGI interface of choice for IIS. This DLL overcomes some shortcomings in the CGI interface that may cause the CGI to break when uploading large posts or enclosures. This results in a lengthy server stall.
Due to the way the DLL interacts with IIS, it also affords a 2X increase in performance over the EXE. You should NOT use the EXE, it is there for historical purposes only. |
