Question Printer Friendly

I upgraded to version 5.0, but now when I access the top level of my site I am getting some page other than my top level folder listing.

Answer

You have an index.htm or index.html file in the root level of your site. If you are using webx's built in FTP, you'll see this file at the top of the folder hierarchy. Otherwise it appears in the HTML subdirectory of the root webx folder. Rename or remove this file (may require you perform a subsequent Resynch Filesystem). You can still access your web crossing site directly via command codes. For example to access the control panel of your site: http://yoursite.com/..../webx?59@@

Version 5.0 behaves more like a traditional web server in that any non-specific call to the top level or to a folder of a site will display an existing index.htm or index.html file by default.
