How many Chatters can one Server Handle at a time? |
Answer |
Most Unix systems limit the number of TCP/IP connections per process to 256, in which case multiple processes (fanout servers) are required to support more than 256 users. You specify the maximum number of TCP/IP connections for each fanout server as part of its configuration setup, so you can tailor this to your hardware and software capabilities.
The actual number supported by any given server will be system dependent. |
