Question Printer Friendly

Because of firewalls or other technical reasons it is sometimes desireable that Web Crossing not send outgoing email directly to the recipient's mail exchanger but instead use another SMTP server for the purpose.

Answer

Beginning with Web Crossing release 3.1 it is possible to use the Web Crossing email settings panel to route all outgoing email through your SMTP relay service. In the email routing table in the Email Services Control Panel, just specify:

* ip_of_your_smtp_forwarding_service

in the "Special routing for outgoing mail" box. For example,

* 12.34.56.78
